CookieCrazie's Week in Review

Personal Side

My cold has hung on another week. :(
It's been challenging to push through......
especially with company here for Neil & Becca's engagement.
But I've rested lots this week and other than a couple of
small cookie orders, I've been chillin' and
today I'm FINALLY feeling a lot better. Yeah!

Well now you know the big secret in our family that I alluded to last week.
We are VERY VERY excited.
The wedding is planned for Monday, December 31, 2012.
That's less than 4 months from now.
Wow!
I still haven't figured out what I'll do for their wedding cake
and wedding cookie favors......but I still have a little time. lol

It's been a very good cookie week for me.
I did wedding shower cookies......
and a medical set of cookies for a thank you.
I was happy with how they all turned out. :)

Engagement Cookie Joy.....

Back in the saddle on Tuesday.....after the long busy weekend.
Ironically......I was doing wedding cookies. ;)

Wednesday morning brought a huge thunderstorm while I was finishing wedding shower cookies.

I had fun with this "fall-ish" set.

Thursday morning.....bright and early......
making new glaze colors out of old glaze colors.

I thought this set would be harder to guess.....
but many of my FB & Instagram friends guessed it right away.

Day one of the medical cookies.....

Day Two brought all in all the fine details.
What a fun set!

Last week's chatter....

My Romantic Son.....and Engagement Cookies

This weekend, my family had the distinct privilege of all being involved
in my son proposing marriage to his sweet girl, Becca.

I found out my son is quite the romantic.
I had no idea.......but I was super duper proud of him.

For weeks, he's been planning a very special day for Becca to agree to be his wife.

He planned lots of surprises.

And I added my surprise (for him too) by making them some customized
engagement cookies.....just for them. :)

They spent the day together visiting several major attractions in St. Louis.

And then, while the paparazzi (Neil's siblings and Becca/Neil's friends) were able to see from a distance,
Neil got down on one knee and asked......

and Becca said "Yes"!

This is one happy girl......along with a very happy boy. :)

Neil also arranged for Becca's parents (who live in Kansas)
to come into town and surprise her at the restaurant
we were all meeting for dinner to celebrate.

Lots of happy tears and precious memories made that day.....

Some very happy moms and dads......

My two daughters are THRILLED to add another sister to the mix.....

So you may ask......did they like the cookies?
I'll let pictures answer that question.

And Becca is one of my biggest fans......
and never hesitates to dive right in and eat my cookies.
I love that about her!
(Cookies are meant to be enjoyed.....both visually and then yummily ;))

Congratulations to my dear son, Neil, and his soon-to-be bride, Becca.

AND......I've already asked if I can do cookies for their wedding.....

They said YES!
