SWEET Summer (Fruit) Decorated Cookie Collection

OK…..let’s discuss one of the best parts of summer. FRUIT! haha

Since last August, I’ve been eating a plant-based diet, and FRUIT, by far, is the most delicious of all the plant foods. :)

Summer brings out the best in fruit. Most everything is in season…..and SCRUMPTIOUS.

Here’s to diving into all that fruit-y deliciousness!

Rustic Americana Decorated Cookie Collection

Today is Memorial Day….so this is my way of honoring those who have given so much for Americans to remain free.

Hurray for the red white and blue.
I’m a proud American and happy to create this rustic Americana set of cookies.

There’s something about patriotic designs that always make me want to “antique” them and make them more vintage. It’s pretty easy to add age to a decorated cookie. Just allow it to dry overnight and then make a thin mixture of brown dust and alcohol….dab it all over the cookie and then blot it with a clean cloth.

May God bless America.

TRUST Decorated Cookie Collection

Continuing in my quest to use cookies to reveal what’s in my heart…..here is another set of cookies with a message.

TRUST - [truhst]
noun

1) reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.

2) confident expectation of something; hope.

The last few months I’ve been hanging on to to trusting my God for all that He has for me.
He never promised it would be easy…..but he DOES promise to be with me always (Matt 28:20).
He promises that He loves me (John 3:16) and that nothing will separate me from His love (Romans 8:35-39).

One of my favorite verses:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

God is faithful.
I will TRUST Him.

❤️

Tranquil Decorated Cookie Collection

As I’ve shared before……since my cancer diagnosis, my cookie decorating has become more than a hobby. It is a way to express the messages of my heart…..whether that is where my heart actually is right now, or where it NEEDS to be.

Stress contributes to physical illness. So as my doctor has continued to reiterate every time I see her…..the goal is to practice relaxation and learn to dwell on the blessings of life. I’ve picked many words that have become part of my mantra and tranquil is one of them.

tranquil [trang-kwil]
adjective
1) free from commotion or tumult; peaceful; quiet; calm
2) free from or unaffected by disturbing emotions; unagitated; serene; placid

All of these cookies help me to dwell on peace, quiet, and calm and not be affected by all the mayhem around me. So I offer them to you as a gift……
to bring you to that sweet quiet place of serenity. ❤️

A heart at peace gives life to the body. Proverbs 14:30

Finding Rainbows in the Rainstorms Decorated Cookie Collection

In these last many months of dealing with a health crisis, I’ve realized that decorating cookies can be yet another way for me to focus on the truth…..and convey the messages that I’m learning through this life journey. I suspect that my cookie collections will come to reflect more and more of what is going on in my heart. ❤️

Rainstorms are often depressing and difficult. The day is dark & gloomy….you get wet if you go outside….wind and lightning can cause destruction, etc. But the truth is…..we need the rain for many reasons. And one of them is to experience rainbows on the other side of the storm. :)
