This Back-To-School season is going to be pretty special after schools closed and went to virtual learning in March 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Here’s my version of back to school cookies after having weeks to really think about what is most important. It’s not about the facts and principles as much as it is about growing in wisdom & knowledge.

May this year be the best year of growth for all of us!

Ocean Refuge Decorated Cookie Collection

Refuge…. oh how we need a refuge….a place of shelter, protection, and safety.

I planned this cookie set out of my own need for the refuge of God. But when I decorated this set, our world was in the midst of the coronavirus crisis. God’s timing is perfect. This was/is an apropos message for all of us….at all times.

I love how cookies can be a way of expression….and also a way to send an important, encouraging message.

Wait Decorated Cookie Collection

Waiting……it’s probably one of the hardest things for us to do. We have to “remain inactive, to be available in readiness”…..but not actually DO something. These last many months have been a huge test for me in waiting. From test to re-test, from doctor appointment to doctor appointment, from protocol to the next protcol….. I’ve been waiting for healing in one form or another. So far it hasn’t happened, but that doesn’t mean that nothing is happening. It just means that I have to let go of something I’ve never had control of and trust God with what’s ahead.

As I wait….there are cookies to decorate. :)

If you are waiting for something, I hope this cookie set encourages you to relax and rest in what you know to be true.

Faith Decorated Cookie Collection

Not knowing what my future holds has made me want to make a difference with every thing I pour my energy into. So each set of cookies from here on out will be geared towards making a difference in one way or another. Not that my cookie decorating hasn’t made a difference in the past…..I hope it has. But just as every day counts…..for me, every cookie counts. :)

It’s no secret that my faith and trust is in the LORD Jesus Christ. I’ve never shied away from sharing that. It’s a blessing to display that faith within a set of cookies. I pray that my cookies and my faith will encourage and inspire you.

I’m blessed beyond measure. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful hobby of mine. It continues to be a joy to decorate cookies. In fact, my mental state was very low these last two months…..and FINALLY, my joy is back. This week was the first time in quite a while to decorate cookies with JOY. There's just something about creating art on cookies from ideas in my head that is super soothing and satisfying. I’m grateful I get to do it.
