Award Ribbon Cookies (Tutorial)

Award Ribbon Cookies.....I thought they would be perfect for graduation.

I used a diamond ring cutter for these cookies.

You'll need 10-second glaze in gold and in your-choice-ribbon-colored glaze.

To make the circle of the ribbon more precise,
trace around a circle cutter with a yellow food color marker.

Outline and flood the circle with gold glaze.

Outline and flood the ribbon "tails".

Allow the gold circle to dry for a couple of hours
(or put in food dehydrator for 1 hour on low).
Using a rounded ball tool, add dimples around the edge of the gold circle.

Add large dots of gold glaze all the way around the circle and
use a toothpick or boo boo stick to pull the dot out to a point.

Allow the cookies to dry overnight.

Make a mixture of gold pearl dust and some almond extract.
Paint it onto the gold portion of the ribbon.

For that special someone who has done a fabulous job!
