Personal Side

Our Easter celebration was fabulous!
I love getting together with my kids.
They are so much fun. :)
We had lots of good food.....a fun egg hunt.....and great times together.

And then, back to reality.
Thankfully, my daily routine is pretty awesome.
Back to cookies on Monday.
This week I did purple, gold, and black random cookies.
Oh how I love that shimmmery gold next to the purple.

I'm heading out right now to look for a dress for the wedding.
It is chilly outside today.....so it is hard to think about getting something spring/summer-y.
My daughter (bride-to-be) and I are going to make a "day" of it....
It should be fun.

Next week I need to move on to summer cookies.
Wedding cookies are going to take over my life in just a couple of weeks......
so I need to get ahead.
I'm OCD like that. ;)

♥♥♥

Instagram photos for this week:

Happy Friday!
I hope your day is filled with yummy things like pancakes.

I love the way the 3D flowers make the cookie "pop". :)

Last night's dinner celebration for Kyle's 24th.
Missing three of my dear ones.....but glad several of us got to be together. :)

Happy Monday! Here's my favorite of the breakfast set.
Mmmmm.... ♥

You can't hardly go wrong with one or two colors against black and white.
fThey look so happy together!

Last CookieCrazie Chatter....

New BRP Basket Boxes!

Once again, I had the distinct privilege of working with BRP Box Shop
to create a special box for this most recent installment of CookieCon.

At the first CookieCon, we worked together to create the Lantern Favor Box.
I wrote about the limited edition holiday version HERE.
It was such a successful first attempt.....that we decided to try something new at CookieCon 2014.

I had suggested that a basket is a very versatile item for presenting cookies.
It seemed like it might be an impossible feat for a paper box product to work as a basket
to hold a bunch of cookies...........but those BRP people are AMAZING!
And not only did they create a perfect basket box, but they designed it in several colors.

AND.......their cake pop stand fits perfectly in the bottom of the basket.....
so if you want to put cookies on sticks, they can stand up in the basket.

As you can imagine......I was over-the-moon when they sent me the boxes to "test".
I had such fun creating berries and flowers to put into their new box wonder.

And all the CookieCon 2014 participants had the privilege of receiving one at the event.

Thanks BRP Box Shop for listening to the cookie world and
allowing us to have AWESOME boxes to use to display our cookies.

Other Cookie Boxes offered by BRP Box Shop

Valentines Chalkboard Art Cookies

I've admired the chalkboard art of several cookiers.....
and have been itching to try it myself.

The great thing about chalkboard art......sloppy work is acceptable.
Since painting is not one of my fortes......this is a very good thing. :)

It was fun to add all kinds of cute messages to Valentine-themed cookies.

(The drawback of these cookies is lots of black glaze for the one who eats them.
I've heard it might tinge the teeth a bit dark for a while after consumption. ;))

I put a few on sticks and used the cool BRP cake pop box. :)

Valentines 2014 Cookie Collection

Cookie Pop Box by BRP Box Shop

BRP Box Shop has done it again!
They have created this really cute box to transport cake pops.

But since we're all about COOKIES.......let's make some cookie pops to put in this box.

I personally don't like to make cookie pops (actually putting the stick in the cookie).
So instead.....I make fake ones.

First make some adorable cookies. ;)

Next.....use clear mailing tape to attach cookie sticks onto treat bags.

Insert the cookie into the bag.....making sure the top of the cookie goes in first.
Using a clothes pin, gather the bottom of the treat bag together.
Tie a ribbon around the stick/bag and make a bow.

And there you have it......lots of "cookie pops".

BRP's new box holds 18 pops.
I tried to fill the box with 18 small cookie pops.
I think it is just a bit TOO full. ;)

I'd recommend using every other hole in the box to space them out a bit more.
(That means you could fit 9 or 10 pops in the box.)

I absolutely love how this box displays the pops so beautifully. :)

Go check out BRP's incredible selection of cookie boxes.

You'll be glad you did. :)

Oh the possibilities.....
There's plenty of ways to customize your collection to fit the graduate.

Here's the cookie cap and tassel in a BRP Box.
