Personal Side

Shew......I'm back home again after a CRAZIE week.
It was a FABULOUS time taping an episode with Arty McGoo. :)
How fun to talk cookies with those that who can totally relate.
It never gets old.....

Now I'm trying to finish all my Christmas prep ahead of a trip to Florida next week.
My youngest son is graduating from college.
Wow.....this has been quite a year in our family.
I'm so proud of my kids. :)

Guess what cookies I've been working on today?
If you guessed something related to the above event, you're right. ;)

Can you believe Christmas is in less than 3 weeks?
With all the activity in the last month......I feel like it should still be October.
Haha.
Life goes on.....

Enjoy every second, as best you can.
Today I got upset about something......and realized that it was out of my hands.
I can't control (nor do I want to) the things that others are doing around me.
But I can allow my heart to be moved and humbled.
And if I refuse, I miss out on some truly awesome blessings.

Enjoy this beautiful season...

Instagram photos for this week:

Christmas is in the air......
These cookies are from last year.

The Cookie Tree is loaded up with Christmas cookies (top left photo)
and the rest of the house is dressed up as well.
Let's enjoy this beautiful season together!

Happy Saturday!
(This is last year's shabby chic gingers...)

The Ginger Family is ready to come out and play.....

Time for the ginger family to bring home the Christmas tree...

Fabulous day filming with Arty McGoo and friends.
I'm so grateful!

A throwback to last year's winter cookies.....

Christmas Gift Tag Cookies (Tutorial)

Here's a favorite Christmas cookie project this year.
Use cookies for gift tags.......either directly tied to the package, or bagged first and then tied.

You can use any shapes you'd like.

This set included plaque type cutters.

While the cookie are still warm from the oven, use a straw to cut a hole within one end of the cookie.

Decorate as desired.

Adding molded edible clay makes the tags more 3D-like.
(Molds used here: pine cone, holly, acorn, bow)

Used food color markers or painted color gel to add the "To/From" and
the names of the gift recipients.
