Apple of Your Eye Decorated Cookie Collection

Every year I love to do one cookie set that highlights everything APPLE.
This year it seemed appropriate for it be centered around this verse:

Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.
Psalm 17:8

I love how I can continue to do what I love, remind myself of the Truth, and hopefully encourage and inspire others in the process.

🍎🍏Happy APPLE Harvest! 🍎🍏

Blessed Is The One Decorated Cookie Collection (Tessellation)

Another week of “cookie therapy”. This tessellation set was originally made to create a fall autumn theme…..but with my latest health set back… I needed another week of bringing the truth before my eyes (literally!).

divinely or supremely favored; fortunate.

blissfully happy or contented.

Blessed is the one….
whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
Psalm 1:1-3

Dwell on These Things Decorated Cookie Collection

This week I got the news that I now have bone metastasis……so I’m now considered to have Stage IV Triple Negative Breast Cancer. It was heartbreaking news. 💔

I had already cut out a grouping of honeycomb shaped cookies to use as a tessellation a few weeks ago, with the intent of making a set related to Phillipians 4:8-9. And this week was the PERFECT week for me to create them…..dwelling on everything that is true, noble, right, pure, lovely admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy.

These were truly made from my whole heart. Rather than dwell on the bad news……it is good to dwell on what is GOOD. I guess the creation of this cookie collection
definitely counts as cookie therapy. :)

PRAYER Decorated Cookie Collection (Rustic Floral Garden)

Prayer….It’s so essential in our lives. It’s our connection to God.

We are currently within the isolation period of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I’ve noticed that when crisis hits, we all pray more.
It’s a time when we realize how little control we really have over our own lives.

My prayer is that we draw closer to God and one another and learn lots of wonderful things during this time of trial. God has certainly taught me how He gets my attention during difficult times and teaches me so much…..if I’m willing.

Floral PEACE Decorated Cookie Collection

Peace……we all long for it.

Currently, our world is in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. It’s a scary time…..unlike anything we’ve ever faced before. Everyone is concerned about getting the virus or giving it to those who are immunocompromised. We watch the news in disbelief at how rapidly all of it has taken over our world, our finances, our daily routine. And to top it all off, we are cut off from each other because of social distancing. (I think one of things I miss the most is the hugs from loved ones.)

But in times like these, the truth is blatantly clear. Peace does not come from circumstances. We can have peace even in the middle of awful storms…..maybe the worst we’ve ever seen.

THIS is where I find my comfort. And decorating cookies to share that message has given me much joy these last few days.

💗💗💗
