HOPE in Spring Decorated Cookie Collection

One of the best parts of spring is the HOPE it points to. After the harsh cold winter where everything seems to have died…..SPRING brings new life!

As I progress through my health challenges….I’m always looking for reminders of the HOPE that is right of front of me. And of course, cookies are still a BIG part of my life. So maybe this set of cookies will inspire you in hopefulness. :)

Easter Decorated Cookie Collection 2020

Easter……a time to celebrate new life and the resurrection of Jesus! Spring comes out in all it’s beauty.

As you can see, I LOVE purple and flowers. haha So of course, these Easter cookies needed to have plenty of both.

As we celebrate this season, may we find hope in the newness of life that Jesus brings.

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
Matthew 28:1-7

REST for Your Soul Decorated Cookie Collection

So another rough week in my healing journey…..means another set of cookies to distract me from the waiting game…..and also a chance to make sure I’m focusing on the right things.

I know I need to REST in my Father’s hands……so I dwell on His promise to provide rest for my soul.

Rest [ rest ]
noun: the refreshing quiet or repose of sleep; refreshing ease or inactivity after exertion or labor.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Grateful (Shabby Chic) Decorated Cookie Collection

Lately, my cookies have become a reflection of my heart. There’s so much going on in my life emotionally…..so it’s pretty natural to share what is deep inside…even on cookies.

This week has been a rough one for me. I started comprehensive testing for my “annual review” of my cancer diagnosis and there was a crisis period where things could have taken a devastating turn. Praise God 🙌🏻 that was not the case once the results came back, but there were some very fearful and anxious moments.

My heart is so full of gratitude! God has me in the palm of His hand and He is a good good Father.

Grateful [ greyt-fuhl ]
warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful:

*******
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
Psalm 9:1

Silent Night Christmas Decorated Cookie Collection

Christmas is upon us….the most wonderful time of year.

For my final cookie set, I wanted to send a cookie message…..Silent Night, Holy Night, all is calm, all is bright. Jesus came so that we might have life in Him. His birth was the manifestation of God’s incredible love towards us. It makes Christmas so much more meaningful when JESUS is the main point.

And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,  to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.  And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth.  And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.  And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear.  And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
