Autumn Delights Decorated Cookie Collection

As promised......MORE autumn cookies to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year....

This set is a bit less traditional that my usual fall sets. And I tried to incorporate the wet-on-wet technique as much as possible. It's amazing how much faster it is to decorate a cookie when you flood it and add most of the details all at one time!

You've been forewarned that I'm currently dreaming up another fall-ish set of cookies for the near future.

Come on now......can there really be too many autumn cookies for the season? 😉

Personal Side

Awww.....back to the normal routine.
It has been a nice quiet week. :)
I can't say that I've had one like it for more than month now. ;)

I'm decorating cookies using a lot of my custom cutters featured on www.creativecookier.com.
I am having a BLAST!
It is so fun to carry out what has been formulating in my head.

This week I did lots of pumpkin cookies.
Next week......I'll continue into another fall theme.
That will probably be the last of the autumn cookies for this year.

I've got Thanksgiving cookies to whip up.....and then Christmas!
It's the most wonderful time of the year.....especially for cookies. :)

With this color palette, how can I not have an awesome week!
Tomorrow is the first day of…. FALL!

Pumpkin mania is coming along.....

I'm CRAZIE about how this cookie turned out!
(Please excuse the poor quality of lighting).
At first I thought the cookie would be a castaway, because airbrushing did not go well.
But once I got the edible clay pine cones and acorns on it, I decided I liked the look.

Autumn Gourd and Squash Cookies (Tutorial)

It's been my desire to have some custom autumn gourd and squash cookie cutters.
My dream has come true. :)

Ginny of CreativeCookier is making a whole set of CookieCrazie Custom Cutters.
And it includes a gooseneck gourd and a crookneck squash!

Outline and flood the cookies in their appropriate colors of 10-second glaze.

To the squash add uneven sized dots and lumps with same color glaze
after the base has dried about 30 minutes.

Allow the glaze to crust for about 2 hours.
Randomly push into the glaze to give it an uneven, more realistic look.
(see photo below)

Once all the cookies have dried overnight, paint the goose neck gourd with
a mix of Americolor leaf green, electric green, and bright white color gels.

After the "paint" has dried for an hour or so, dust the cookies with bronze pearl dust.
