CookieCrazie's Week in Review

_________________________________________________

Personal Side

I did my final Valentines cookies this week.
They were fun.....but I'm kind of done with red, pink & white.....at least for now. ;)

Next week I'll move on to some other themes.
I've got a list of themes I want to do in the coming weeks.
It is so fun to plan cookies around a theme!!!

In a way, it was a lazier cookie week than usual.
I had baked & froze cookies last week that I decorated this week.
I challenged myself to make simpler designs one day.
Why is that so hard for me?
I literally have to stop myself and say "NO!" when I'm decorating. haha

The weather has been gloomy these last few days.....it has my mood gloomy too.
I don't like it when I let external things influence my mood.
Hopefully I'll pull out of the slump as I start thinking about spring.
There's lots of exciting things coming up in the months ahead.

Thanks for reading my silly blog.
I'm thankful for your patience with me.
And thanks for encouraging me by being here. :)

Instagram photos for this week:

Valentine paisley....

Pretty little hearts.....

Celebrating my sweet Jill's 26th birthday. I love this girl. :)

Pink.....lots of pink. Lol

Today I challenged myself to only three colors and only wet on wet decorating.
It was harder than I thought it would be. sigh.....

Dotty hearts.....fun and easy.

Today is a pattern-y kind of day. :)

Rainbow iced cupcake..... I know.....it's random. :)

CookieCrazie Custom Cutters: Cupcake Cutter

CookieCrazie started a line of custom cookie cutters last fall.
The proceeds from the sale of the cutters supports
the Ukraine missions effort we do with my church each year.

A couple of months ago,
I asked several cookie friends to design a cookie with the homespun tree cutter.
We had such a good time working together on that project,
that  this month I asked them to make something with the cupcake cutter.

Are you ready for this?!
You're going to be amazed. :)

Who would have thought that you could make all these things with a cupcake cutter, huh?

Do me a favor and go check out all of these talented cookie decorators and their wonderful sites.
You will be so glad you did.

And if you'd like to see how to make the snowy snowman I did for the collage....... tutorial.

Here's some fun photos of cupcake cookies decorated by CookieCon participants in November.

And don't forget......you can always decorate this cookie like a plain old cupcake. haha

CookieCrazie Custom Cutters: Homespun Christmas Tree Cutter

The second of my two exclusive new custom cookie cutters.....

This project has been several months in the making.
The day I received the first samples of those cutters.....such joy!
They're like little babies to me.

And then the idea that others would use the cutters is pure joy as well.

So I asked several of my cookie friends to decorate a cookie with the cutter.
And many agreed to do it....and here is the wonderful-ness they came up with!

Christmas Cookie Card Project

Instructions.....
Pick a favorite Christmas card and make cookies to emulate it.
Fun!

I had such fun joining a bunch of other cookie decorators in
Haniela's Christmas Card Cookie Project.

I found this card and wanted to make a 3D cookie version of it.

I'll be sharing a tutorial on how I made the tree.....including ornaments.....next week.

Until then, check out all the awesome Christmas Card cookie entries.
