Thankful Heart Cookie Jar

Happy 2015 Thanksgiving!

Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
Psalm 107:8

I am giving thanks for so many things this season.

I hope that you and your family have time to stop and reflect on all things for which you're thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Personal Side

The Christmas decorations are all up......just in time
for very rainy weather that kept me home most of the week.
What a treat to just "be" in the house and enjoy the decorations while I decorated gingerbread. :)
Soon I'll have gingerbread cookies hanging from my cookie Christmas tree,
and everything will be complete and "ready" for the holidays.

I have to work this weekend AND Thanksgiving Day,
so it is super nice to have all of the prep work done ahead of time.

There's a new social media (very similar to FB) that cookie decorators have migrated to......
so just in case you'd like to try it out, here's my TSU page.
If you need an invitation, use my short code "cookiecrazie".
Hope to see you there!
Maybe we will all actually get to SEE each other's pages that we've liked. ;)

One week to Thanksgiving.......Yeah!

Thanksgiving 2015 Cookie Collection

Thankful Heart Cookie Jar

Here's a fun cookie idea to use for the family's gathering at Thanksgiving.
It's fairly simple and gets everyone thinking grateful thoughts.

Decorate some fall cookies by simply outlining and flooding them in solid colors.
For the cookies below, I used this acorn cutter and this leaf cutter.

Once the cookies are dried overnight, place them in a "thankful jar".
Have a supply of food color markers handy.
Have each family member choose a cookie and express what they are thankful for.

And might I just add here......that I'm thankful for YOU!
Without the gracious support of my blog readers, I couldn't do what I do.
Thank you. :)
