Buggin' Out: Buzzin' Bee Cookies (Tutorial)

In this edition of the Buggin' Out Cookie Collection
here's a tutorial on the 2D Bumble Bee cookie. :)

To make the body of the bee, trim the bottom point off of a heart cookie.
(I used a 3" heart cutter.)

Outline and flood the cookie (as shown below) with yellow 10-second glaze.

For the head, you'll need a smaller circle cookie (I used a 1 1/2" diameter).
Outline and flood it in black glaze.
While the glaze is still wet, put two large white candy pearls in place for the eyes.
Add a dot of black glaze to each "eyeball" for the pupil.
And then add a large black candy pearl for the nose.

After the yellow body has dried for a few hours (to prevent bleeding)
outline and flood thin black stripes  across it horizontally.
Additionally, pipe white wing lines as shown.
 Dry the cookies overnight.

Paint Pearl Sheen Airbrush color over the wings on the body cookie.

And then it is time to assemble the bees.
Just add some glaze to the back of the "head" cookie.
(Make sure the bee's face is in the right direction before adding the "glue".)

Then attach the head to the body cookie and allow it to dry thoroughly.
