Fall Celebration Continues.....

I'm back with lots more fall cookies........improving some and trying new things. It's so fun to repeat things and see if you can do it better. :-)

Every month I make birthday cupcake cookies for our church's preschool department. I was getting tired of the same-old-same-old.....so this month I changed it up a little bit and used fall colors with leaf sprinkles. I thought it might be fun to decorate them different each month according to the season or holiday.

More candy corn......but this time I made a whole family. lol I tried all my fall cookies on a chocolate cookie as well as the regular kind this time. I wouldn't recommend putting yellow/gold on a chocolate cookie. Because the color is so light, it almost changes the appearance of the yellow. How would I have known that unless I tried, right?

Here's lots of fall minis. I have fallen in love with mini-sized cookies. Many people only want a bite of cookie, not a regular big one, so minis are the answer! Plus they are lots of fun to decorate and then use as garnish with all your other cookies.

Here's Indian corn again. I outlined it in black this time......not sure I like it. But I'm certain I don't like them on a chocolate cookie.

Leaves.....I love to do leaves! :-) There are so many fun things you can do with them. Plus.....I got to practice my plaid-look on them. Fun fun....

I decided to change my sunflower design. Callye's designs inspired me.....so I gave hers a try. And then I had to try some with plaid centers. :-)))

Johnna inspired me to try mini-cut-out circles again. I still think my writing stinks......but as Callye keeps telling me, as long as it is readable, people will think it is fine. But then.....we tend to be our own worst critic, don't we?

I did plain pumpkins first......but was getting tired of the same old thing......

SO......I tried pumpkins with a quilted patch. (My husband said this was a pumpkin patch. ha ha)

And then saw this cute quilted pattern on some fall placemats I have. I think this is my favorite of all the cookies I did this time (except for maybe the quilts).

And here are the new fall quilts. If I do them again, I'm going to do more of the larger object almost bigger than the square like the pumpkin in the upper right corner. Free-handing is certainly challenging!

And here's my favorites.....I just can't get enough of this style. ;-)

The assortment was big this time.....hard for me to get a pic of everything at once. Here's the best shot I could find.

I might get to do fall cookies one more time this season.....sometime in the next two weeks. After that I'll be busy making cookies for my November Ukraine trip. I leave on Friday, November 13. Yikes.....that is only THREE WEEKS from tomorrow. (If you'd like to read more about my trip, visit my Crazie Commitment blog.
