HOPE in Spring Decorated Cookie Collection

One of the best parts of spring is the HOPE it points to. After the harsh cold winter where everything seems to have died…..SPRING brings new life!

As I progress through my health challenges….I’m always looking for reminders of the HOPE that is right of front of me. And of course, cookies are still a BIG part of my life. So maybe this set of cookies will inspire you in hopefulness. :)

Easter Decorated Cookie Collection 2020

Easter……a time to celebrate new life and the resurrection of Jesus! Spring comes out in all it’s beauty.

As you can see, I LOVE purple and flowers. haha So of course, these Easter cookies needed to have plenty of both.

As we celebrate this season, may we find hope in the newness of life that Jesus brings.

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
Matthew 28:1-7

TRUST Decorated Cookie Collection

Continuing in my quest to use cookies to reveal what’s in my heart…..here is another set of cookies with a message.

TRUST - [truhst]
noun

1) reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.

2) confident expectation of something; hope.

The last few months I’ve been hanging on to to trusting my God for all that He has for me.
He never promised it would be easy…..but he DOES promise to be with me always (Matt 28:20).
He promises that He loves me (John 3:16) and that nothing will separate me from His love (Romans 8:35-39).

One of my favorite verses:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

God is faithful.
I will TRUST Him.

Living with HOPE Decorated Cookie Collection

As many of you know I’ve been battling breast cancer since August 2018. It’s been a challenging time……and yet I’ve learned so much and am thankful for all the blessings that have overwhelmed me during this intense time.

Thankfully I have been able to continue to decorate cookies. Even though it’s not been as much as normal…..it has definitely been an essential part of my healing. I try to fit it in as much as possible. I find such comfort and peace while decorating……a truly happy place.
It distracts me from reality for a bit and provides pure joy. :)

I’m feeling led to move in a direction of creating designs that reflect where my heart is these days. It helps to be surrounded by positive, truthful themes.
So here’s my first installment of cookies with a message….

HOPE……it is so important in everyone’s life. But it is especially crucial when you face a life-threatening situation. So this time……I dwell on the hope that God gives me that we will eradicate all the cancer…..or at least stop it from growing so that I can live a healthy life and carry out all the purposes God still has for me here on earth. My faith and trust are in Him. 🙏🏻❤️

“Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.
My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.”
Psalm 119:49-50

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
