Update on Pan Lids for Drying Cookies

Learning is a process, right?

Well.....I'm still learning about using lids on my half sheet pans to dry my cookies.

More than a week ago, I did a post entitled "No Pan Rack for Drying Cookies....How about Pan Lids?"

Since then I've learned some things.....and suspect I'll learn more in the coming days. ;)

First of all, I put my lids over wet cookies the other day.....and it seems that is not a good idea.
Look at how uneven the surfaces were the next morning when I took the lid off. :(

Note to self (and to CookieCrazie blog readers):
Let cookies dry for a few hrs before putting lid on pan to cover overnight.
(In other words, don't put lid over very wet cookies.)

Also, one of my readers (Susan) ordered the Nordic Ware lids for her Wear Ever half sheet pans and they did not fit. Here is her comment:

CAUTION!  My lids just arrived from Nordic Ware and they do NOT fit on my Wearever half sheet pans.  Real close, but no cigar; they just pop right off.

I suggest that anyone thinking of ordering these for other than Nordic Ware or Sam's Club should find a friend who has a cover and test it on your pans.

So if you don't have Sam's Club or Noric Ware half sheets.....don't assume the lids will fit your pans. (Again, I'm so sorry, Susan!)

It doesn't seem right to not include some finished cookies in a blog post.

SO.......here's some random cat cookies I did at Christmas time.
They are certainly not my best work (faces.....ugh!......they get me EVERY time).
But then showing you cookies like this let's you know that we are all alike.
We all do things that we are not happy with.
But that's OK.
Because none of us are perfect, right?

OK.....so now I can show you these very UNperfect cookies. ;)

OK.....I'm off to go learn some more CookieCrazie lessons. =)
