Pumpkin Latte Decorated Cookies (Tutorial)

Pumpkin lattes.......they are all the rage during this harvest season.
I have family members that are crazy about them.

Here's a YouTube video to show the entire process to make pumpkin latte cookies.

Using a cookie cutter with a mug shape that includes whipped cream piled on top (see links below), it's fairly easy to decorate a cookie up for the pumpkin latte season.

The video shares all the details.....first the mug body, then the handle, then the layers of "whipped cream" with a sprinkle of actual cinnamon on top. :)
And be sure to include either a cute pumpkin cookie on the front of the mug, or cut a mini pumpkin shape into partially dried glaze and then decorate the shape with piped glaze.

For all the coffee lovers in my life......I created a set of cookies to celebrate this glorious hot drink and it's favorite companions. :)

Hot Cocoa - Cup of Love Cookie Collection

Hot cocoa is such a perfect drink.......
It's filled with chocolate-y goodness and warms you straight to the soul. :)

I remember vividly making hot cocoa for the kids as they were growing up......
when they came in from their play time in the snow......
all red-cheeked and cold.....but so happy.....especially when they saw the hot cocoa.

SO I would definitely call it a cup of love, because I poured lots of love in those mugs.

And with hot cocoa comes lots of yummy cookies too, right?!

Hot Chocolate Mug Cookies (Tutorial)

Using SugarBelle's cookie jar cutter,
I had fun creating a mug of hot chocolate topped with yummy whipped cream. :)

Cut off the rounded ball at the top of the cookie jar.
Using a cupcake cutter like this one,
replace a portion of the jar with cupcake shape to form the whipped cream topper
(see photo below).

Once baked and cooled,
outline and flood the mug and handle in a color of glaze of your choosing.

Allow the glaze to dry for an hour or so....and then add a hot chocolate brown glaze "within" the mug.
This will need to dry for another hour or so, since the white will want to bleed with the brown.

Add the white "whipped cream fluff" in layers (dry time in between) to give it more dimension.

Once the white "whipped cream" has dried a bit, add a dash of cocoa over it's top.
If desired, you can add a design on the front of the mug.

I love how the hot chocolate mug added such bright cheer to the Christmas cookie platter. :)
