Apple Deliciousness Cookie Collection

If you haven't noticed yet.......
when I grab onto a theme.....I RUN with it. haha

I think that is one of my most favorite things to do with cookies.
I love picking a theme......planning a bunch of different shapes to compliment each other......
and then having a BLAST executing the plan.

So here we go again.
This time it's A-P-P-L-E-S.
FUN stuff.

And this is just another chance to wish you a very happy harvest time. :)
(Today is is in the upper 50s in Missouri and ABSOLUTELY gorgeous outside. LOVIN' it!)

Apple Slice Cookies (Tutorial)

Apples!

Another one of those wonderful autumn sights and smells.

Apple cookies are fairly simple and yet always have such appeal.
I think it is because of their bright beautiful colors.

To make an apple slice cookie, use any apple cutter for the shape.

Outline the apple with red or green 10-second glaze
Thicken the areas around the top and the bottom of the apple (as seen below).
Leave a space to add the stem later.
Allow the outline to dry for a hour or more to prevent bleeding.

Fill the inside of the apple with white 10-second glaze.
Form the "core" with light tan and gold colors using wet-on-wet. (see photo below)

After the inside has dried for at least an hour.....add the seeds and stem.

Time for apple picking!
