Pretty One Decorated Sugar Cookie Collection

Girls love to be pampered and to put their "pretty" on.

Here's a fun set of cookies to brighten any girl's day.

Let's get our "pretty on".......cookies that is. :)

Lipstick & Nail Polish Decorated Cookies (Tutorial)

Time to make those lips and nails sparkle. 👄💅

These cute cutters can be found HERE and HERE.

While cutting out these two different shapes, cut out extra thin multiplies that can be used to stack on top for a 3D look. As seen below, the nail polish has the rounded bottom of the bottle duplicated and the lipstick has three layers: entire shape, entire tube only, and then the bottom rectangle only.

Once baked and cooled, it is very easy to outline and flood the different layers.
Be sure to add accent lines on the lipstick (lighter purple line around edge) and around the bottle and lid of the nail polish (grey, white, and dark blue).

Allow the cookies to dry overnight.

Brush on dry brilliant sparkle dust to the nail polish bottles.
Paint a silver mixture (Nu Silver dust + vodka or clear extract) onto the middle part of lipstick tube.

Flower Bouquet Cookie (Tutorial)

Flower bouquet cookies fit well with a prom or wedding cookie set.

This bouquet uses the CookieCrazie custom cupcake cutter.
Trim it as shown below.

Outline and flood the entire cookie in green glaze.

Wait approximately 30 minutes.
Pipe random stem lines all over the green glaze.

For added dimension, knead in a tiny amount of water to some green edible clay
and put it in a piping bag.

Use a #4 round tip to pipe some strong vertical stem lines from the bottom
of the cookie into the flared area.

Using a leaf tip with the same green clay, pipe random leaves all over the flared area.

Continuing with the green clay, use the grass tip to make lots of stems all over the top of the cookie.

Mold some edible clay flowers using a variety of colors.
Flower molds shown are here, here, and here.

Add some dots and shapes of glaze to resemble various flowers.

If desired, tie a ribbon around the base of the cookie.

Prom / Bridesmaid Dress Cookie (Tutorial)

I had the distinct privilege of making cookies for a family friend
to help him asked his girl to the prom.
Her favorite color is dark blue.....
so it made sense to add an elegant blue dress cookie to the assortment.

Rather than use a special cutters for the dress and suit,
it seemed better to pick a simple shape and depict part of the image on the cookie.

For the dress, I choose both an elongated oval and a common plaque cutter.
Both shapes managed to fit the design.

Outline and flood the cookie with a bodice, waist, and skirt.
(see photo below)

Allow the glaze to dry for 1-2 hours and then using a cake tester, add some pleats to the skirt.

Once the glaze has dried for a total of 4 hours (approximate timing),
press a swirly line texture mat into the glaze.

Add a waist band with the same color glaze.
(see photo below)

After the waist band has dried for at least 30 min, add a rosette swirl on top.

Allow the cookie to dry overnight.

To help the texture stand out on the dress, brush on super pearl dust.

Glamor Hat & Shoe Cookies (Tutorial)

In this fun new series of glamor cookies, let's start off with a stiletto heel and a cute little hat.

These cutters can be found here and here.

Outline and flood the stiletto with a darker color glaze for the bottom and interior of the shoe.
Outline and flood the hat, but leave the bow section blank.
(see photo below)

Outline and flood the stiletto's main shoe portion with a lighter color glaze.
(see photo below)

Add a ribbon detail to the hat, including the ends of the ribbon hanging out the back of the hat.

Pipe some wavy outlines around the hat to make it look more "floppy".
After it has dried overnight, paint the under portions with some pearl luster dust.

Use a black food color marker to make a point on the bottom of the stiletto heel.

If desired, mold a matching bow using this silicone mold and some CookieCrazie edible clay
to give the hat more dimension.
