CookieCrazie's Week in Review

Personal Side
It's been a fun week working on some patriotic cookies and
even shipping a few to some favorite people. :)
I love gifting people.....so cookies in my arsenal is a very good thing. :)
Something I'm learning lately.....(and trust me when I say I'm SLOW at learning this)...
It is so easy to get caught up in the popularity game.
The fact that social media quantifies how many people "like" you or like your stuff,
makes this trap so easy to get entangled in.
We've all heard that "comparison is the thief of joy".....
and I can vouch for much truth in that statement.
But God is teaching me (over and over again) that this journey I'm on is not about me.
It has never been about me and it never will be about me
(unless I hijack God's gifts and claim it IS about me).
He's got a plan for the relationships I have.....and the people matter so much more than the cookies, the designs, the popularity, the number of "likes", the amazing opportunities, etc.
I've been blessed with a chance to love on people and share happiness and joy with them via cookies.
Here's something I've got posted on my desk that I read often.
This was someone's post on FB one day......
"My success lies within what the Lord says about what I'm doing.
Am I bringing Him glory?
Am I using this for selfish gain as opposed to declaring His name.
It's not about me!"
And so, my journey continues in finding the right balance in this crazy mixed-up world.
Thanks for sticking by my side to support and encourage me.

For that I am so very very thankful!)
