Acorn Cookie (Tutorial)

Acorns.
They are small, but mighty....and just as cute as they can be.

CreativeCookie has made a CookieCrazie Custom Cutter acorn
It fits the bill for a classic acorn shape.

I go back and forth on whether or not to make the acorn bottoms brown or green.
So in this tutorial.....I made both. :)

Outline and flood the acorn cap (top) with light brown 10-second glaze.
Allow it to dry for about 3 hours.
Press the scales texture mat into the crusted glaze to give the cap some texture.

Outline and flood the bottom of the acorn with your choice brown or green glaze.

Dry overnight.

Paint some accent lines onto the side of the acorn.
(I used airbrush color, but you can use regular Americolor gel colors instead.)

Once the lines are dry, brush on dry bronze luster dust onto the cap for shadowing the texture.
