Fun Project

There is a cool little cookie shop in a historic area within the county that I live. My family and I visited it several weeks ago and I got to talking to the owner of the shop. They bake and sell very yummy, traditional drop cookies (chocolate chip, snicker doodle, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, etc). She was excited to see that I decorated cookies....and said she'd love to have my info because she gets requests nearly every day for decorated cookies.

Since she was so kind to share the word about my decorating for missions, I wanted to make some special cookies for her and her employees. Mostly, I did the fall cookies that I've recently posted here.....but I also wanted to do some unique cookies for this special little cookie shop.

The owner's grandmother opened the shop back in the 1970s. She passed away in 2008 and the granddaughter re-opened the shop in the last few years. You can read all about them on their Facebook page HERE.

I decided to make cookie replicas of the old sign for the shop......

And the latest sign for the shop.

I think she enjoyed them very much. :)
