To make Thankful Turkey cookies you will need:
- Two-piece cookie shapes (see below)
- Brown 10-Second Glaze
- Red 10-Second Glaze
- Gold 10-Second Glaze
- Orange 10-Second gaze
- Black Sugar Pearls
For turkey body, cut the bottom off the smallest babushka cutter.
For the feathers, use a 10 petal flower cutter and cut off the bottom two petals.
For a more 3D look, add a bit of shaped dough for the beak on the turkey before baking (see below).
Outline and flood the turkey body brown, and add two black sugar pearls for eyes while still wet.
After it has dried for an hour or two, add the red gobbler.
Color the dough beaks with yellow glaze or
allow to dry overnight and then color in with yellow food color marker.
Outline and flood the feathers in steps.
I started with the red feathers so that the red glaze could dry well (to prevent bleeding).
After an hour or more, add the orange feathers and then the yellow feathers.
Allow them to dry overnight.
"Glue" the turkey body onto the feathers with some glaze.
May your week be filled with gratitude. :)
P.S. I'm thankful for YOU!
