Birthday Cake Candle Cookies (tutorial)

Let's make some birthday cake candle cookies!

You'll need:
Outline the main candle with your choice of color.
I tried multiple ways.
My favorite style was the green and pink ones on the right.
You'll also want to outline the flame in yellow.

Let dry for 10-20 minutes.

Flood all the segments with corresponding color
and the flames with yellow.

For the flames, I immediately added a dot of
orange icing at the base of the flame
and then pulled a toothpick
upward towards the top.
Since I used pastel colors with this set,
it is hard to see.

I tried to take a close up.....but it is still rather hard to see.

If you don't want to make orange icing too,
you could take an orange food color marker
for the inner part of the flame.

Once the flood has dried 20-30 minutes,
you can add the wick.
(I used the same color as candle,
but you could also use black for the wick.)
Finally, I added some candle wax drips.

It's Monday.
I'm thankful for the sun outside.
I hope your week is grand. :)

Great tutorial. I'm loving the details in the wick and the wax drippings.
