And the Heart Cookies Just Keep Marching On......

I'm not sure why.....but this Valentines Day season I've been obsessed with the heart shape.
Oh.....I've done a few other shapes......but it is like I can't get enough HEARTS.

In the past few years I've done all kinds of crazie Valentine cookies.
(click on the photo to see the post)

Candy heart boxes......
 Valentines quilts.....
Lady bugs, Candy boxes, and "LOVE".....
I {heart} U, XO, funky flowers and squares.....
 Stitched valentines & buttons.....
 and even chocolate kisses.

But this year.....H-E-A-R-T-S mostly. Why? Who knows! lol

So here's so more Valentine heart cookies to add to the collection.

This pink one is probably my favorite.....

And shhhhhh......don't tell......
but I have more (you guessed it!) HEART cookies to show you in the next few days. heehee

Love them a;; Pam. You always get such wonderful detail in your Cs icing. Youare so right about it takin much practice to get that detail. i use both now. I also was afraid of RI because of all the bad reviews but i made my own recipe combining the best ofthe two and get great results. So now sometimes i makea batch of CS icing anda batch of RI and use the m on the same cookie to get different effects. I also like I stat4ed have come up with a sort of rendition of them combined andi must say I loe the taste and concistancy of it. It dries hard enough to package but not so hard that you feel like you are going to break your teeth. Ilove all three of them and they all have their place. But you my dear are the queen of CS icing detail. You amaze me with your talent lady. Happy Valentines day to you. Stacey BTW love the conversation heart boxes. Whata fabulous idea. you alway have the best ideas for cookie themes. love it.

I love looking at all your work. I am going to make the Glaze tomorrow. How long does it take to 'dry' so you can package them up for giving? I have them spread all over the kitchen counters. Does putting them in the frig or freezer make it happen quicker? Thanks for all the inspiration and help for those of us making cookies at home. Yvette

Hi Yvette. I dry my cookies for about 24 hrs after decorating so they are dry enough to package. And if I'm going to cover them (with the lids or plastic wrap), I wait until the cookies have dried for several hours before adding the top. I have not had success with refrigerating or freezing decorated cookies. Glad to help. Have fun!
