Baby Sprinkle?

Have you ever heard of a Baby Sprinkle? I hadn't. But apparently it is a "shower" for the soon-to-be grandmother. Her friends "shower" her with presents. Hmmm......sounds like a great plan since I can envision me being one in the next several years. :)

So here's the order for the Sprinkle. Love those polka dots. :)
Notice those awesome electric colors again. LOVE those shades.

I will return.......soon.

Happy & Bright Birthday :)

I have a bunch of orders this I'll have lots of pics to show you. :)

Every month I make birthday cookies for our church's preschool these are nothing super new. But since I had the electric colors made for a different order.....I had fun making some ELECTRIC birthday cookies. Those, fun!

I'll be back soon.....

Welcome Baby Boy!

My niece just had a baby boy in June....and I'm just now getting around to making some special cookies for him. His name is Chase Edward. He had a few problems when he was born, but he seems to be doing very well now.

I'm very excited, because even though I love doing baby boy cookies (and I've done several sets in the last year!)......I just got an order for baby GIRL cookies to do in October. Hip, hip, Hooray......I can just see all the pink and lace and girly-ness. :)
But for now.....we will continue to keep bringing you the blue boy-ness. lol

I've done all of these cookies before.

My first time doing baby minis. I put WAY more detail on these than I would an order.....but these are for family. ;)

Cookies for Chase. :)

Some new

More new shapes.....more fun.

A baby "quilt". (Love doing these!)

Lots of blue and boy-ness in one pic together.

I'm not sure if this is it for me this week..... maybe one more impromptu on Friday.

Lucy's First Birthday....A Beach Party

After all those bright colors in my "Fruit Salad"'s cookies will be quite a change.

These are all done in pastels since the order is for a baby girl who's having her first birthday. I'm finding that pastels are hard to photograph. Is that true? I'm not liking the overall color in these pics.....but it's the best I could do.

Lucy's turning "1" her Momma and Daddy wanted to have a fun beach party with lots of sea critters and some flip flops. :)  I choose pastels because a sweet little baby girl needs a special softness in the coloring.

That's it for me this week.

I need to make some baby cookies next hopefully I'll have something to post. :)

Fruitful Week ;)

Well this week is stacking up to be as cookie crazie as last week. It wasn't just happened. :)'s a pic of the platter I took to the luau Sunday night. The cookies disappeared in minutes. That was a delight in most ways....but to watch them be devoured in just a short amount of time was a little sad too. So much time to little time to chew and swallow.

This week I had a bunch of icing left over from last week's "summer extravaganza". So yesterday morning I decided to make a large batch of cookies to quickly decorate with all those wonderful colors. However, my crazie-ness kicked into high gear......and suddenly I was headed full steam into decorating an extraordinary number of different fruit cookies. But boy, did I have fun.

And I used a lot of the old icing making the fruit and these simple, but cute smileys. (But I might add, that I made 4-5 more colors of NEW icing to make sure the fruit was more authentic.......My daughter was laughing at me for making new icing when I'm trying to get rid of the old stuff. =))

So here is evidence of my my "fruitful" day yesterday. ;)

First you have your citrus fruit......

then a bunch of fruit that grows on trees.....

add in some berries and cherries (yum!).....

and just a few

and suddenly you have a fruit explosion......maybe this would be called the fruit salad. :)

I still have a batch of cookies to do tomorrow for an I'm not done yet this week.

Tired of my crazie-ness yet??? I hope not....because I sure enjoy having all of you here on my blog..... (Thanks for visiting, by the way.)

Hawaiian Luau

The grand finale of my CRAZIE Summer Cookie week is cookies for a Hawaiian Luau this Sunday evening. The event will honor the graduating seniors of our church's youth group, of which I have two, Keith & Allison.

Sadly, Keith can't attend since he's been in his
Army Basic Training for one month now. (But he only has 40 days left.....yippee!)

Here's more Hawaiian shirts.....can you say "colors paired WILDLY"?!

My first try at hibiscus. These are not exactly what I'd hoped, but they're OK for the first try.

Hulu dancers......yikes. I don't like doing people on a cookie......too hard.....especially the faces.

Welcome to my palm tree forest......

and my flamingo farm....

and my pineapple grove. lol

This was tricky......sometimes photographing lots of cookies is like putting together a puzzle. I won't tell you how many pics I took of the grouping. ;)

So this is the conclusion of my summer extravaganza. Who knows what I'll get a notion to do next week. =)

Down By The Sea

So I rested for a week after my trip and then this week I couldn't wait any longer. It had been four whole weeks since I'd decorated cookies......and it was TIME. lol

I haven't had a chance to do summer themed cookies yet, so after choosing seventeen shapes and fourteen colors (I've got to keep the "crazie" in my name!), I set to work. Boy have I had fun these last two days.....learned lots of new things, and thoroughly covered the summer theme. =)

I'll take two posts to show you all the cookies. Since I kind of went overboard (no pun intended!) with variety, I figure I wouldn't overwhelm you in one post.

Here's ship wheels and lighthouses.......these are not extremely exciting, but they look cool when you put them with all the other ocean themed cookies.
I'm very happy with how the ship anchors came of my new cutters :)
And I'm thrilled with this "sea critter" collection.

Group shot.....
I'll post the rest of my summer collection tomorrow. Stay tuned for LOTS of color.
