Happy Easter!

It has been an interesting week. I started out having HUGE plans for Easter cookies.....and they got squished down to one large batch that took me two days to decorate. ;) Oh well....I'm grateful to get these done, and I enjoyed decorating them immensely.

Tried some plaid ducks.....

More bunny peeps.....this time I remembered the eyes (although my daughter informs me....and she would know since she is a peep lover....that the eyes should be brown, not black). lol

Gingham bunnies....this time they have a white background. Yay!

Bunny heads and carrots. I tried two different designs for the bunny heads, and I'm not thrilled with either. The first one I sprinkled white sparkling sugar (not sanding sugar....which was the problem) and it hides the face and ears too much (the one on the right). The second one I just put sanding sugar on the pink parts of the ears and since I didn't do it first before the white parts.....it spread out all around the pink. :( Oh well.....live and learn.

I love these mini bunnies.....and Americolor electric colors! They were also very fun to photograph. =)

The mini bunnies guarding the mini carrot garden. lol

I changed up my sheep this time....and really like the results. The black faces really make them stand out more.

Plaid bunnies again. I did a few things different....and I like these results better than the last ones.

Lots of colorful baskets. I found that Americolor electric green is not such a great color for Easter grass. : p

Eggs.....

Bunny behinds.....I got this idea from Tina of Mad About Cookies. =)

More eggs.....

And even MORE eggs. These are my favorites.

And several pics of the whole bunch together.

Now it's time to go celebrate Easter by singing in our church's Easter musical, East to West. It is a glorious celebration of how Jesus died for us and washed our sins away....as far as the East to the West.
Hallelujah, He is Risen!!!

Happy Easter everyone.....

Love them! I've been looking forward to seeing what you created for Easter. I love the bunny behinds; I have that cutter but whenever I do a front view of the bunny it never turns out how I'd like. I will have to try the behinds! :)
God Bless you and your family Pam on this wonderful holiday!

Pam, your cookies always brighten up my day. How long does it take to decorate all your cookies? You use quite a number of colors for your designs, which I LOVE!!! I can only imagine it takes you the whole day to decorate. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much everyone! You area all so sweet to take the time to comment on my cookies.

Sarah.....the cutter came in this set I ordered from Karen's Cookies: http://www.karenscookies.net/Wilton-18-pc-Easter-Cookie-Cutter-Set_p_1341.html

Kelly....yes....a set like this with approximately 80- 90 medium cookies takes me all day. Efficiency in decorating is NOT my forte. But I have LOTs of fun! :)

Pam, the cookies look great, as they always do. I love coming to your blog to see your amazing work.
I had a question...your cookies are so thick. Do you use rolling pin bands? If so, where did you get urs and what is the size you use?

Ashley C.....I use a Doboard at about 3/8". See this post for more info.

and the link to where I bought it is here:

The rolling pin bands are much cheaper....and I have several friends that use them and love them. :)

Linda....how did the group like the Easter cookies. :) Yes, the next holiday.....I guess that would be Mother's Day??? Wow, 2010 is going by at lightening speed, isn't it?

Thank you Pam. I'll take all the prayers that I can get. I know we have it good - but sometimes it just breaks my heart seeing him regress. xoxo Jenny

These are Americolor gels. For Easter I used the electric colors. You can find them here:
