Valentines Day......When Will You Ever Get Here? =)

OK.....so I'm finally coming down to my last few planned designs for Valentines Day. I guess it is about time, huh? This is my FIFTH set of Valentines cookies. hee hee And boy has it been fun.

Now I've got to start making replicates for the orders that I have. That's not near as fun as creating something new every time.....but I'm happy to make lots of money for our Ukraine missions effort. If you are unfamiliar with Cookies With a Mission.....check out one of the top entries in the right side bar. And if you want to know lots more about it, check out my blog about my involvement in Ukraine missions.

Here's the latest red set.......

And being as crazie as I am about pink......I had to do a pink set too. :)

I attempted valentines in envelopes.....but not extremely happy with them. Maybe next year I can improve on them.

Valentine Chocolate boxes....making cookies designs look three dimensional is tough! But this was the first cookie that my son Kyle made a comment on. He said, "Wow....those are cool!" He's a man of few words.....so that was HUGE coming from him. It made my day. :)

I just couldn't find a good angle to take these.....so I'm including two pics.

Here's the whole gang together.

Like I said.....now I need to fill Valentines Day orders.....but if possible, I'm going to try to sneak in a few new designs here and there in the next two weeks. ; )

(Just think.....after February 14, I can put the RED icing away until............Fourth of July!!!!!)

I liked your envelopes, I thought they were cute! Especially the polka dot flap, very creative! I also like how you have "cookie crazie" on each picture. How did you do that? I really like the font you chose.

Best-
Susan

Thanks Susan and Ashley.

Susan....I appreciate the encouragement on the envelopes. For some reason.....they just aren't my faves.

I added cookie crazie in a font called LD Denim using Paint Shop Pro. It is the same font I use for my stickers that I place on ever cookie bag. I love it! =)

I really LOVE your cookies...I think they are fantastic. I am fascinated with your plaid pattern. I would love to attempt this...my cookies look quite wimpy in comparison. I am wondering how you apply the "plaid" lines..do you use a brush or do you pipe them or do you draw them with a pen? If you ever wish to share i would love to learn...Thank you jean

Your work amazes me everytime I see it. Cookies are so hard with all the little details and you made it look so easy with all the little details you put into it each time.

Love the box of chocolate cookies - so cute.

Can't wait to see what you come up with next :)

You all are so kind. Thank you so much for your comments.

Jean....I describe how I do plaid in my FAQs on the right side bar.

Laura...I appreciate your comment. I've been following your blog for a long time. I remember more than a year ago when I read the whole blog all the way through....I had sat there for more than an hour so fascinated with your cookie business. =)

Pam, thanks for reading.
I just love to see original ideas and cookie designs. You really have mastered the icing. I think you may have surpassed my abilities!!
I also love the little box of conversation hearts. Just so clever!! I tend to shy away from such complex cookies, but looking at your work, i think I need to step it up a bit!

Thanks so much, Laura.

Surpassed your abilities.....hardly!

I don't work with volume like you do in your business.....so I can understand why you would want to shy away from complex designs. It just makes for lots more work when you have to make a few hundred of them!

You do fantastic work, so no worries there. But if you do "step it up a bit", I'll be watching and cheer you on. =)

Love the new cookies! Esp the boxes of chocolate! Did you just pipe the candies, or use bits of Tootsie Roll?

Amazing! My hands ache just looking at all your detailed work - beautiful.

Thanks ladies.

Linda....it's all piped icing. Bits of tootsie roll would have had to be super small on this small-ish cookie. ;-)
