He LOVES photography so I made him some cameras. He attends Hannibal LaGrange College, so I did their logo.
He just received them in the mail (YAY.....they arrived on his birthday!) and so now I can let everyone else see them too. :-)
I had hoped to make more Christmas cookies this week....but I've been so sick that I just couldnt' get up the desire and/or energy to do it. Hopefully I make some more next week right before Christmas to take to the family, etc.

These cookies are great! I especially like the camera cookie. I'm a Missourian too - I think I need to come take some lessons from you! So glad I found your blog a few weeks ago.
I would just like to say that your cookies are amazing and yesterday I made the recipe you have posted and they are awesome tasting as well. I didn't have time to try the icing but the kids enjoyed helping with the sprinkles when I frosted them with buttercream.
Your cookies are amazing! How do you do them? Do you outline them first then flood them or do you just flood the entire cookie? What size tip do you use for flooding? Sorry for so many questions, but your work is superbly neat. Great job!
love your decorated cookies! they are awesome!
Thanks to all of you. :-)
Christy.....come on over. :-) What part of Missouri are you from?
Unique Sweets.....glad you like the recipe. It's the best in my book. :-) And even better than all that is that you had fun with your kids.

I love the cameras and hope you don't mind if I use the idea for my husband's birthday. Please keep posting your work! I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
These cookies are so beautiful, as always. You always do such amazing work. I have a question for you...how long do you let the cookies sit out to dry? I am worried about my cookies getting stale, but I want them to be completely dry before I take them somewhere. What kind of time frame do you follow? Thank you!!
Thanks everyone for your kind comments.
Alicia....Spain! Wow....that's awesome. :-)
frankdiabetes.....you are welcome to use the idea.
Sabrina....I let my cookies sit out for 48 hours. This assures that they will not mess up when I put them in bags or cover them with plastic. The only exception would be if it is really humid outside....then they might not be dry.
I've found that the cookies will not get stale sitting out because the icing helps hold in their moisture.
Merry Christmas to you all!
Your cookies are amazing!!!!
Thanks Jenni. Merry Christmas!
Amazing cookies. I live 20 minutes from HLG, and recognized the logo as soon as I saw it. Great job!!!
How cool that you recognized the HLG logo. :-))))) Thanks for your kind words. Happy New Year!
