Dad Cookies and More

As I told you.....Jill (my 22 yo daughter) and I decorated sugar cookies yesterday. Here's Jill's two cookies that she decorated. She is a beginner.....but coming along quite quickly. I love her hippo and turtle. :-))))

I'm posting this pic.....just to keep me humble. These lawnmowers threw me for a loop. I think I got a little cocky and thought I could do ANY kind of cookie I wanted. Well here's proof that I don't accomplish my goal every time I try a new cookie. Boy.....these were tough ones. All I had was a regular photo of a lawn mower. I didn't do so good. But it was an OK first attempt and I'll hopefully be improving on this one soon. ....

My first footballs......nice and easy. :-)

I have plans to do this DAD cookie in a variety of ways later this week. This is for a friend that requested fishing poles. :-)

Here's some close ups of the fishing poles with fish on the end of the line. :-)

I'll be doing more on Thursday......so hopefully I'll be back later this week.

This comment is for Jill...your hippo and turtle are WONDERFUL! You obviously inherited the "cookie decorating gene" from your mom! :-)
I'm sure you're glad to be home and I know your mom is very happy to have you there. Enjoy your time together.

Hello - Wonderful turtle and hippo! You are both amazingly talented. It is great that mom and daugther can do cookie making together. My mom has been gone for 10 years and we spent a great deal of time cooking and crafting together and I miss her everyday. Enjoy every minute! - Cindy

Awwww....thanks for all your kind comments, ladies. :-) I read these to Jill and she smiled beautifully. :-) We are having a wonderful time together. We have learned to cherish the moments like you described. I don't get to see her a lot, so we make the most of it when we DO get to be together. :-))))))

Awwww.....that's so nice, Mara.

I've been doing a lot of templates and hand cutting my cookies, so that's why there are cookies you've never seen a cutter for. :-) But then, I DO have a lot of cutters too. lol It's obsession, you know?
