As promised.......here's my entry into the Sweet Treats Cookie Challenge. I love this little clown. :-)
The competition was pretty fierce......very elaborate cookies done, so I didn't have a chance. But that's OK. I had fun and have a great memories from doing these cookies and that's what counts. ;-)
Here's the whole circus set together....
My husband took these to work to sell....and called me that day and said someone wanted to know the nutritional value of my cookies. I told him that if they were concerned, they didn't really want to eat them! lol He looked up the cookie and icing recipes on www.allrecipes.com and calculated that these very large cookies 4-5" across were about 500-600 calories. I told him I DIDN'T want to know that, and I DIDN'T want my customers to know that. ;-)
GOOD NEWS! I reached the $2000 goal with my cookies today. I am so excited to watch how God is providing for my two trips to the Ukraine this year. :-))))))) I plan to give a bunch of that money to the ministries we'll be doing for the Ukranians while there, and that makes my hearts my heart sing. What a pleasure to work so hard to bring joy and love to all of them.
I probably won't have much to post here before I leave for the Ukraine. I only have two more decorating events planned......this week to make a bunch of patriotic cookies for the Fourth of July and then next week.....I'm going to make some simple small cookies to take to the Ukranians as gifts on my trip. :-) I'll at least try to post before I leave.
