Finally........My Try at Baby Cookies

I have a friend who asked about me doing cookies for a baby shower in a few weeks. Since I needed to make the golf cookies yesterday anyway, I decided to do a practice run of baby cookies. Oh what a blast I had!!!!!

Pastel teddies.......

Pacifiers......I wasn't pleased with these, but next time I'll try new things that will hopefully work better.

Baby bottles.....these were OK, but I definitely want to work for improvement here too.

Baby carriages......a little harder than I thought they'd be. But I loved how the pink one came out so "lacey" looking.

Bibs.......lots of fun. There are so many possibilities.

Baby shoes......I used an egg cutter. Fun, fun, fun.

My FAVORITES of all the baby cookies.....Onesies!!!! There is so many things you can do with them.

Boy-ish Onesies......

Girly onesies.......I love how feminine these turned out. :-)

And my family loved these particular cookies.....not for what they looked like.......but because as soon as I took their photos today, I gave them the "all clear" to eat as many as they wanted. Wow......you'd have thought I'd given them a million dollars. ;-) It's been a while since I've given them a whole batch at one time, so they've been in cookie heaven this evening.

That's it for now.......I'll be decorating more later this week.

Aren't these cute? I love Baby COOKIES... your work is beautiful, Pam... what has helped me a lot when working with new COOKIES (I got the idea from Laura at A Dozen Eggs) is to outline the COOKIE Cutter in a white paper and design and then color as if using Icing... I even write down which colors go first and so... :)

Wow, I'm new here and new at making decorated cookies. You're an artist !
I think we'd need a master-class step by step. Here in Spain is quite difficult to find books or classes about it.

Thanks Uschi. :-)

Bea.....thanks so much. And what a great idea for designing new cookies. I'll have to try it.

Sandra....glad to have you here. I don't know about a master class.....but I'd be glad to answer any questions I can. And www.cakecentral.com has a WEALTH of information and a forum where you can ask questions. I've learned so much from that site.

I love all your cookies ! You are a talented designer! Can you tell me the thickness you roll your cookies out to ? I love how substantial they are. I saw your earlier post about the dough board...I really want one, but for now, I'm using dowels.
Thanks again for sharing this blog with us !
