Summer 2007

I felt like I turned a corner in the summer of 2007. That is when I started using Americolor soft gel paste drops to make some of my colors (red, black, navy, and brown) and also I made many more colors of my shiny hard icing for the base on the cookies. Thus.....my cookies got more colorful and more true to life looking.
And what fun are the shapes for summer......flip flops, lady bugs, ice cream cones, and the like.

This is my all time favorite flip flop (the green one with pink rose buds) and I love how the ice cream cones turned out too.
The watermelon slices and lady bugs turned out so cute.....and once I established a format.....they were easy to duplicate.

Hi Pam,

Okay I just fell in love with these Summer themed cookies....they are sooo cute!!!!

All of your cookies are beautiful...you truly do awesome work!!!

I was disappointed when I read at the bottom of your blog that you don't want to sell your cookies...I think you'd make a mint from them but I do understand your reasons...it probably would be a big old headache...but shoot I just love those summer cookies...was hoping to buy some...LOL!

Thanks so much for sharing this with us....I enjoyed reading it and seeing all of your beautiful cookies...you're very talented!

Oh Patti....you are so kind. Thank you.

Yes....I love these summer ones too. I felt like they came together really well and the colors were awesome. Plus I love all ladybugs, flip flops, ice cream cones (yum!) and the like. :-)))))

Sorry about not being able to buy them, but I can't imagine doing this on demand. It takes me a few days to do one of these double batch spreads and each cookie would have to cost way more than people would pay! I read on Cake Central that people charge $1 per inch. That means that these 4 inch cookies would be $4. There is NO WAY people would pay that much. I wouldn't! lol But yet I do know that they deserve $4 each because the work is quite detailed.

I'm honored that you'd buy them from me. Maybe someday.....but not now.

I appreciate your kindness.
